What to Expect

We meet in a warm, home-based setting in Chesapeake — and remotely from anywhere — with a relaxed atmosphere, contemporary worship, Scripture-centered teaching, and space for honest questions. You don’t need to have everything figured out to visit (we certainly don’t!). Come as you are.

We start worship at 10:15a.m. Sundays — come around 10:00a.m. (we’re ready for you at 9:45a.m.!) to meet folks and so that we can start on time.

Our service includes prayer, song, a message about a Scripture text, and a short discussion about the message. We end around 11:30a.m., and people stay for some light snacks and conversation.

You can see what we do from our blue worship card.

What People Are Saying

“The whole service is just so beautiful – the music, the prayers, all of it.  And the message is outstanding.  Pastor Beth is EXTRAORDINARY. She has a gracious, wise way about her, and I am always challenged. I look forward to our worship every Sunday!”

“You all have been such a family to me. I can’t believe how everyone surrounded me with love and practical support through direct messaging when I was robbed at the airport.”

    — Ana, Omaha, NE

“Pastor Beth spends many hours each week in God’s Word. This is reflective within her weekly sermons while never losing focus on the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Her juxtaposition on both the Old and New Testament bolsters our understanding of God’s plan for each of our lives. CLH truly communicates our living hope in Christ.”

    — Bruce, Chesapeake, VA

“If you're looking for a meaningful online worship experience, I highly recommend Church of the Living Hope. The worship music features a wonderful variety of contemporary Christian artists, creating an uplifting and inspiring atmosphere. Pastor Beth delivers moving, relevant sermons that connect Scripture to everyday life and encourage spiritual growth. Most of all, the people are warm, welcoming, and genuinely encouraging.
